WE ARCHIVE THE TRUTHS WOMEN CARRY
REAL STORIES. REAL WOMEN.
IT’S NOT OKAY.
It's not okay
It's not okay
Red Thread Archives began with a feeling I couldn’t shake: I was tired of hearing the same stories.
My name is Megan. Like so many women, I have my own collection of experiences at the hands of men- some bigger, some smaller, some I understood immediately and others I only recognised for what they were much later. And the older I got, the more women I spoke to, the more frighteningly familiar it all became.
Different women. Different places. Different stories. But the same understanding underneath them.
I kept wondering what I could actually do with that anger, frustration and helplessness. I couldn’t change what had happened to me, or to the women around me, but I could create somewhere for those experiences to go.
That became Red Thread Archives.
